Year starts with above-average rainfall
The Peninsula has started the year with above average rainfall.
Just over three weeks into January, the rainfall total is almost 50 per cent above average.
The monthly total was 168.6mm at 9am on Friday, January 24.
This was 44.1 per cent above the month's average rainfall of 117mm.
Three days this month have recorded more than 25mm.
On January 9, 27mm was recorded, while 32.6mm was recorded on January 18 and 29.6mm was recorded on January 19.
This month is currently the fifth wettest January in 20 years.
