Enda Kenny to perform at folk club's first 2025 concert
The Troubadour Folk Club will hold its first major concert for the year with singer-songwriter Enda Kenny at 2pm on Sunday, February 23, at the Everglades Country Club in Woy Woy.
The club held its first house concert for the year on Wednesday, January 22, with Americana folk duo Those Folk.
Its next house concert is Wednesday, February 5, with veteran English folk singer and multi instrumentalist Steve Turner.
"Rarely does one get the opportunity to experience such fine musicianship within the confines of small, intimate venues- and this is precisely what the Troubadour Folk Club offers with a house concert," said club president Mr Michael Fine.
The club has started its regular program of First Friday Sessions for the year, with music-making open to all on the first Friday of each month.
The club will also continue its Performer's Concerts on the second Saturday of each month, from 7pm in the Empire Bay Community Hall.
"With a number of 15- minute stage spots available, it's a great night for audience and unpaid local performers alike," he said.
"As the year continues, we have a major concert planned each month in the Everglades club, which has supported us in bringing some of the great folk and acoustic performers in Australia and internationally to audiences on the Peninsula.
