Bridge club makes Christmas donations

Brisbane Water Bridge Club held its annual Christmas party on Monday, December 19, at the Peninsula Community Centre.

Throughout the morning, 106 members played cards in an atmosphere laced with the festive spirit.

Judy Wulff, Marilyn Whigham and Ed and Robin Vaughan were winners in the open division, Adam Moffat, Robyn Lang, Lucy van Veen and Joan Walsh were winners in the restricted division and Lyn Dwyer and Colin Wilson succeeded in the novice division.

Two Peninsula Women's Health Centre representatives were also presented with a cheque for $2600, which was raised through a number of fundraising events throughout the year.

The Salvation Army was also represented and received three hampers of food items and cash donations on the day.
