Bell speaks on Shakespeare

John Bell from the Bell Shakespeare Company will visit the Peninsula on Thursday, January 19, to speak about his book On Shakespeare.

The free event will be held at the Peninsula Theatre from 6:30pm.

Actor, director and producer, John Bell is one of Australia's theatrical icons.

He will speak about his passionate relationship with Shakespeare and offer a unique backstage pass to the histories, tragedies, comedies and romances and a memorable insight into the sonnets.

"John Bell is highly regarded and we are lucky that Bell often holidays on the Peninsula - and that he has agreed to do this talk to promote his new book whilst he is technically on holidays," said Book Bazaar proprietor Ms Mandi McIntosh, organiser of the event .

"Thanks to the cooperation of the Woy Woy Little Theatre Company who have agreed to host the event in their wonderful venue, we are able to present this wonderful opportunity for Shakespeare fans to hear Bell speak, in the environment that he is most know for - a theatre," she said.

Although the event is free, bookings are necessary and can be made by calling Book Bazaar on 4342 2482.
