Man dies in brawl

A man has died following a brawl in Ettalong in the early hours of Saturday, January 7.

Police received reports at about 4am of a group of people fighting on Memorial Ave, Ettalong, near the intersection of Ocean View Rd.

A short time later a man was taken by ambulance to Gosford Hospital where he died.

The circumstances surrounding his death are now under investigation by police.

Officers established a crime scene at the intersection of Memorial Ave and Ocean View Rd.

Brisbane Water detectives are investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to contact Gosford Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
