Cycle group to hold two rides from Woy Woy
Central Coast Bicycle Users Group will hold two rides from Woy Woy over the next two weeks.
This is from Woy Woy to Gosford or Erina from 8am on Thursday, June 5.
The ride will start at Fishermen's Wharf and is expected to last 2.5 hours.
It is described as an easy ride along the shared path to Gosford and back - about 25kms in total.
There is a potential extension to Point Frederick or Erina which could add another 10kms or so to the total.
A coffee stop will be held in Gosford or in Woy Woy after the ride.
The group will hold a Brisbane Water Loop Relaxed ride from Fishermen's Wharf the following week.
The three-hour ride will start at 8am on Thursday, June 12.
The ride is described as a medium grade, cruising-paced (20-22kph) over a distance of 50km.
The ride around Brisbane Waters will be mostly on road shoulders and shared paths, with some normal traffic roads.
Riders will be expected to be comfortable cycling on the road with some passing traffic.
Ride pace will be slower on the shared path sections, picking up on the road sections.
A coffee stop will be held somewhere along the way.
