Brigade members recognised for 30 years' service

Two members of The Bays Rural Fire Brigade members were honoured for their 30 years' service with the Rural Fire Service.

Brigade president Mr Daniel Franich and member Mr Graeme Stiff were each presented with a "10 Years Active Service Long Service Medal 2nd Clasp" on May 17.

"Both Dan and Graeme have been actively involved in hundreds of service calls and campaign fires over this time," said brigade captain Mr Stephen O'Donoghue.

Their outstanding service to the Rural Fire Service and our local community was recognised during National Volunteering Week.

Pictured are Mr Franich, Mr O'Donoghue, Mr Stiff and senior deputy captain Mr David Taylor, representing a combined total of more than 100 years of service.
