Interested people invited to drop in to fire station

The Bays Rural Fire Brigade is inviting people who may be interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter to stop by at The Bays fire station at 8am on Saturday morning.

"We'd love to help you decide if the Rural Fire Service is right for you," said captain Mr Stephen O'Donoghue.

"Stop by to have a chat and meet some of our crew.

"The NSW Rural Fire Service is the world's largest volunteer fire service, made up of more than 70,000 volunteers right across NSW.

"The volunteers are ready to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round, attending a range of incidents from bush and grass fires to house and structure fires, road accidents and assisting at other events like floods, storms and searches."
