Patonga fire brigade boat crew called to assist

Patonga Volunteer Rural Bush Fire Brigade's boat crew attended a call at Flint and Steel beach in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, opposite Patonga, on Saturday, July 6.

They were called to assist NSW Ambulance service with an extraction of a casualty who had suffered a medical episode.

The Patonga crew presented themselves to Northern Beaches Rural Fire Service and waited off shore in case they were required.

Also attending were the water police, NSW Maritime and an inflatable rescue boat from Summer Bay Surf Club.

The police and ambulance crews were able to extract the party to hospital without the need for additional assistance and the Patonga crew was stood down.
