Three-way conferences to replace of interviews

Woy Woy Public School is introducing three-way conferences, between parents, teachers and students, in place of parent-teacher interviews.

The conferences will be conducted "with students sharing in the discussion of their achievements".

Parents may opt for a traditional parent-teacher interview, without their children present, if they wish.

They will take place in week two of term three, July 29 to August 2.

Assistant principal Ms Amy Ford said: "If your child has two teachers over the course of the school week, each teacher will conduct interviews on the days on which they are on-class.

"Teachers have made themselves available before and after school, outside of business hours on some days.

"If there are no suitable timeslots available, you may be able to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet with your child's teacher during Week 2.

"Please contact your child's teacher directly if this is the case."

Ms Ford said the conferences had to be booking before midday on Friday, July 12.

"You will not be able to book a time after this."
