Joint rubgy league team has first win
A win in under-15 girls' rugby league has made it "all worth it" for Woy Woy players in a combined team with Ourimbah-Wyoming Junior Rugby League Football Club.
The team won its game at Rogers Park 18-14 on Saturday, July 29.
Woy Woy didn't have quite enough to field an under-15s girls team this year and neither did the Ourimbah Wyoming.
They decided to field a joint team "to get the girls on the field".
They wear alternate jerseys each week.
They alternate training.
Parents car pool the girls to get them where they need to be.
The hard work paid off with their win.
