Rugby Sevens team competes in Darwin

Woy Woy Rugby Union Sevens team will participate in the Darwin Hottest 7 Tournament from January 22 to 23 next year.

Club representative Mr Matthew Hopkins said the competition was a four-tiered competition.

"We haven't competed in the competition since 2005, but we have a young group of players who are eager to compete and represent the Peninsula in a positive manner," he said.

"We are looking for sponsorship to assist us in succeeding in the tournament.

"We will be taking a total of 14 players and seven touring members, which will include physiotherapists and team managers.

"We are asking for any sort of donation to help us represent the Peninsula," said Mr Hopkins.
