Minister visits Woy Woy Rd

NSW Minister for Roads Mr Duncan Gay has visited Woy Woy Rd with Member for Gosford Cr Chris Holstein.

Cr Holstein said that Mr Gay visited the site along with two senior RTA officials to receive an in-depth briefing on the road.

With funding committed in the State Budget to the upgrading the road, Cr Holstein said the meeting was designed for the Minister to "familiarize himself with the scope of the task.

The Woy Woy Rd upgrade will upgrade 2km of Woy Woy Rd and includes a new underpass at the rail line.

Cr Holstein said that $1 million dollars had been allocated in the Budget to start planning the project.

The upgrade would eliminate the Rawson Rd level crossing near Woy Woy, he said.

Cr Holstein said he welcomed the Minister taking the time to inspect the project site and demonstrate his commitment to the road upgrade.
