Businesses co-operate for charity

Two local businesses are co-operating to raise money for the Movember charity appeal.

A barbecue will be held at Campbell's Hardware in Woy Woy on Friday, November 11.

It will be coordinated by Wilsons Estate Agency and will begin at 7am, running until noon.

"This is the second year we've run the barbecue and we raised around $4000 last year," said organiser Mr Ben Crain.

"We're hoping to do that again or maybe get up to $5000 this year.

"It's for charity, men's health, and we're trying to raise as much money as we can and awareness obviously as well," he said.

Mr Crain said the Wilsons Estate Agency employees John Steel, Greg Quilkey, Andrew Quilkey, Ian Willis, Jim Martin and Ben Crain would begin growing their mostaches from November 1.

"Ian won last year. He was leaps and bounds ahead of everyone.

"He grows a mo by the end of the day," said Mr Crain.
