Santa photos raise $5000 for Coast Shelter
Santa Photos at Pearl Beach have raised $5000 for Coast Shelter's Christmas Appeal.
The community event was organised by volunteers from The Pearl Beach Social Club.
Coast Shelter reported a 55 per cent increase in demand for emergency accommodation and domestic violence support services, said social club organiser Ms Karina Stafford.
"Over the Christmas season, even more families and individuals needed assistance, making community contributions like this more vital than ever.
"The success of Santa Photos at Pearl Beach is thanks to the families, and their furry friends, who came along to create fun memories, as well as the dedication of our professional photographers and our team of volunteer Santas and helpers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes.
"Plans are already underway for the 2025 event, with profits set to support more local charities."
