Six teenagers charged after alleged break-in
Police have charged six teenagers after an alleged break and enter to a home in Booker Bay in the early hours of Saturday, February 8.
Brisbane Water Police were told the six, aged 13 to 16, had allegedly broken into the home, before being chased out by the homeowner.
They were told that, during the chase, a teenager produced a machete and threatened the homeowner before continuing to flee the scene.
A group of young people were located hiding in bushes on Booker Bay Rd, and fled from police.
Four teenage boys were found hiding under a wharf and two teenage girls were found nearby.
They were all arrested and taken to Gosford Police Station.
The four boys aged 13, 14, 15 and 16 and the two girls both aged 14 were all charged with "aggravated enter dwelling with intent knowing people there".
The 14-year-old boy was refused bail to appear before Children's Court on February 8, while the other five teens were granted conditional bail to appear before Children's Court on Friday, March 7.
