Umina campus issues swimming carnival instructions
Umina campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College has issued instructions for its annual swimming carnival to be held on Thursday, February 20, at the Peninsula Leisure Centre, Woy Woy.
Students participating in 200 metre Freestyle and Individual Medley events need to make their own way to the pool, arriving by 8:15am for registration.
These events will start at 8:30am sharp.
Student entry fee is $5 to be paid online by Tuesday, February 18.
Parents and spectators are $4 each which is payable at the leisure centre upon entry.
Students who arrive at school will be transported by shuttle bus to and from the venue.
There will be an assembly on the quad at 8:30am.
Students who require an Early Leaver Pass must have that indicated on their online permission form.
Students are encouraged not to bring phones and other digital devices.
Should they choose to do so, they must ensure they are "off and away".
Limited canteen facilities will be available.
Students should pack sufficient food and drink for the day.
Students are to wear their PE uniform or house colours.
Suitable swimming attire should be worn underneath.
There will be no free swim activities before, during or after the carnival.
