St John's students prepare for public speaking
All students at St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School from Kindergarten to Year 6 will participate in Public Speaking during term three.
"We hope the children will have fun selecting a topic that makes their heart sing and enjoy composing, editing and practicing their speeches at home," said principal Ms Nicole Davies.
Public Speaking finals will be held in the school hall in September.
The two students with the highest score in each class will present their speech in the finals.
Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 finals will be held from 9am to 10:30am on Monday, September 16.
Year 5 and Year 6 finals will be held from 11:40am to 12:45pm on Monday, September 16.
Year 3 and Year 4 finals will be held from 9am to 10:30am on Tuesday, September 17.
Parents and carers will be welcome to come and listen to the speeches.
