Gosford West ward contested by 20 candidates

The election of three councillors for Gosford West ward of Central Coast Council will be contested by 20 candidates.

Six groups of three candidates and two single candidates have nominated for the ward.

The six group have identified themselves as Lawrie McKinna's Team Central Coast, Central Coast New Independents, Ratepayers' Choice, Liberal Party, Labor Party and Coasties who Care.

The Team Central Coast team is led by Gosford chef Mr Daniel Abou-Chedid, with Mr Paul Chapman and Mr Neil Ferguson as running mates.

Central Coast New Independents are led by former Central Coast mayor Ms Jane Smith, with running mates Ms and Ms Lisa Wriley.

The Ratepayers' Choice group is led by council financial watchdog Mr Kevin Brooks, with running mates Mr Stephen Sizer and Ms Lee Erlin.

The Liberal Party ticket is led by Mr Trent McWaide, with running mates Mr Alan Pappas and Ms Kylie Lowbridge.

The Labor Party ticket is led by former Senator Ms Belinda Neal, with running mates Mr Alan McArdle and Mr Mark Ellis.

The Coasties who care group is led by Kariong Sacred Lands campaigner Ms Lisa Bellamy, with running mates Ms Sarah Blakeway and Ms Tegan Mulqueeney.

The two ungrouped candidates are Mr Julian Richards and Mr Andrew Baker.
