August rainfall tracks on average

Rainfall this month is on track to reach the August average of 66mm.

A total of 36mm had fallen on the Peninsula by last Friday, August 16, according to figures supplied by Mr Jim Morrison of Umina.

Most of the rain fell on three days.

A fall of 14.5mm was recorded on August 15.

Falls of 7.1mm and 8.0mm were recorded on August 13 and 14 respectively.

A total of 1121.9mm has fallen so far this year, which is 16.4 per cent more than the average at the end of the August of 964mm.
