It is important to buy in your own community - Tesch
Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch has spoken of the importance local residents buying their own home in their own community.
"I want to see the students that I taught live and thrive in our community, and not be priced out of the region where they grew up," she said.
She said she wanted them to be able to buy their first home, living with security and dignity, without having to move elsewhere to afford a home."
Promoting the State's First Home Buyers Assistance Program, Ms Tesch said: "Housing affordability is an ongoing issue for our community."
She said the program made a real difference for residents who were looking to get into the property market for the first time, and who may otherwise not have been able to afford to buy."
