Ettalong celebrates Book Week this week
Book Week will be celebrated at Ettalong Public School this week.
The school will host a Book Fair throughout the week.
The week will end with a Book Parade from 9am on Friday, August 23, for students wishing to participate in all years, K-6.
"This year our parade will take place around the Big Tree and the Central Garden where our flag poles are situated," said principal Ms Jodie Campbell.
Ms Campbell said parents should not feel obliged to buy a new outfit for their children.
"Outfits can be as simple as a sports uniform, dressing up as their favourite sports star from a book they have read."
However, children should wear covered-in shoes and sun-safe outfits or have their school uniform to change into after the parade.
