Association to hold Net Set Go presentations
The Woy Woy Peninsula Netball Association will hold its Net Set Go presentations from 11am on Saturday, September 9.
This year's program included 24 teams, across the association's five clubs - TKT Ocean Beach Netball Club, Umina Beach Netball Club, Ettalong Eagles Netball Club, Brisbane Water Netball Club and the Peninsula Lions Netball Club.
"This is the largest participation the association has had in quite some time and the presentation is looking to be an exciting day for our five clubs," said association publicity officer Mr Alex Marshall.
"All clubs are excited for 2024 and a bigger than ever Net Set Go season."
Next year's Net Set Go season will include a day at the start of the program for participants to bring along a friend to "give it a go".
The association is also organising school holidays skills clinics in September to meet the demand for school holiday activities.
"These clinics are an opportunity for all our current and potential new players to further their skills and love for netball," he said.
Net Set Go is a non-competition, skills based program which aims to introduce netball to girls and boys aged under-5 to under-10.
"Its goal is to encourage children's fitness and involvement in exercise and sport," said Mr Marshall.
