Father's Day bowls event held at Everglades
Members of Everglades Men's Bowls took part in a Father's Day bowls event on Friday, August 25, organised by the Everglades Lady Bowlers.
"This uniform day is one of several special events the Everglades Country Club offers its bowling members," said men's club assistant secretary Mr Grant Ireland.
Everglades Lady Bowls president Ms Dianne Elsom opened the day with a welcome message.
"Then the 46 participants ventured out into the glorious winter sunshine for a game of bowls, followed by a superb lunch of lamb or chicken and a desert.
Wine was provided for the tables and a chocolate and a couple of drink tickets were provided for each of the male bowlers.
The women's club also ran a Hundred Club and sold raffle tickets for a large number of prizes.
Mr Ireland said: "It was a really fabulous day enjoyed by all who attended."
