Butchery passes out of family after almost 100 years
Friday, September 1, saw the end of era in Woy Woy with the sale of Edwards Family Butchery.
It was owner Marc Edwards' last day before he handed over to new owners Richard and Kaylia Frost.
It brings to an end almost 100 years of ownership of the business by the Edwards family.
Edwards Family Butchery was started in 1925 by Marc's grandfather Jack Edwards.
His father Barry then stepped into the business, followed by Marc himself in 1977.
"I put the business on the market just after Christmas and accepted an offer within three months," he said.
The shop has been in the Peninsula Plaza for the last 14 years.
