Aboriginal artwork part of new hospital display
Aboriginal artwork by local artist Mr Maurice Goolagong, an Acknowledgement to Country and the National Apology are part of a display opened at Woy Woy Hospital on Thursday, August 31.
The new display is at the entrance to the Rehabilitation Unit.
"The circles represent the hospitals," said Mr Goolagong.
"The hand prints represent the patients and the community that are here on the Central Coast.
"The turtles represent the staff that work here, and the staff from the Nunyara Aboriginal Health Unit," Maurice said.
"It is simple but significant and represents this area and the country that we are on.
"I hope you love it and I am proud to have it here at the hospital," he said.
