The weather could not have been finer for charity bowls at the Ettalong Bowling Club on Sunday, August 20, according organiser Mr Ken Dixon.

The day attracted 50 bowlers and raised $1100 for Central Coast Kids in Need.

"With the support of the Ettalong Rebels and others including the Pearl Beach bowlers, a great day was had raising money for kids in need," Mr Dixon said.

"The day started with a spider won by Rhonda Keenan.

"The lucky rink winners were Mavis Bland, Maggie McEwan and Fay Wood."

Bowling club vice-president Mr Dixon made a speech praising the supporters of this event and mentioning how the club had supported this charity by waiving green fees.

The monthly event is held on the third Sunday of the month and all are welcome, he said.
