Probus club seeks more members
The Umina Peninsula Probus Club is seeking more members.
"Umina Peninsula Probus Club meets at the Everglades Country Club on the fourth Thursday of each month, from 10am to noon," said secretary Mr Warwick Forrest.
"Most meetings have a business session followed by morning tea and then an interesting guest speaker.
"But much of the fellowship and fun comes from the many activities, covering a wide array of interests including a theatre group, monthly lunches, walks, wine and cheese, occasional dinners, local outings, day trips and annual coach trips."
He said current plans had included seeing "The Hollow" at the Peninsula Theatre, having lunch at Pelicans, dining at Safran Restaurant, celebrating "Christmas in July" cruising Newcastle and spending a day with a craft group.
"Later in the year, we will enjoy a seven-day coach trip to Montville Mountain."
He said the club offered retired people the opportunity to broaden their social lives and to meet new friends, providing "Fun, Fellowship and Friendship".
