Regional women's network to hold two charity events
The regional Community and Business Women's Network will hold two charity events on the Peninsula over the next three months.
It will hold a Christmas In July event at Ettalong Bowling Club on July 22.
It will include a two-course meal, a drink on arrival, silent auctions, raffles and entertainment and dancing.
Proceeds will go to the Central Coast charity Because We Care Boutique.
It will also hold a Women's Health Week luncheon at Ettalong Diggers on Thursday, September 7.
"Every September, for one week, Women's Health Week is a reminder for women to set aside time for their health and wellbeing," said the network's community engagement officer Ms Sharyn Becker.
A speaker from the Central Coast Women's Health Centre will provide a guide to women's health checks and talk about hormones "From PMS to Menopause and Beyond".
Tickets for the events are now available.
Ms Becker said the Community and Business Women's Network embraced established local business owners and also women wanting to upskill, network and get to know what is happening in their local community.
"We believe that connecting gives opportunities for growth, resilience and inspiration at business, community and individual levels.
"The network is open to all women who wish to connect, support, grow, learn, network, inspire, share or encourage local spending.
"The Community and Business Women's Network is a project of Iris Foundation," she said.
Further information and tickets are available through the network's website, www.cbwn.org.au.
