Landcare grants for Woy Woy and Ettalong schools
Woy Woy Public School and Ettalong Public Schools will both receive junior landcare grants of up to $1000.
The grants have been awarded by Woolworths and Landcare Australia.
Woolworths Woy Woy Peninsula group manager Ms Belinda Page said: "Bringing the classroom to the great outdoors and encouraging kids to get hands-on with nature is always something we're excited to see.
"We hope the schools will have fun working on their new projects."
Landcare Australia chief executive Dr Shane Norrish said: "For over 25 years, Junior Landcare has recognised the vital role children and young people play in caring for the environment.
"With their projects up and running, Junior Landcare's online Learning Centre, offers a range of free online resources to help students of all ages build their knowledge of biodiversity, sustainable food production, waste management and more."
