Raucous folk group returns to the Troubadour
The "fabulous, raucous" Traditional Graffiti folk group will bring its upbeat brand of English folk music back to the Troubadour Folk Club on Saturday, May 27, according to organiser Mr Hugh Worrall.
The folk club concert will be held at the Everglades Club in Woy Woy from 7pm.
"For years, first as The Wheeze and Suck Band, they have specialised in sharing warm, fun performances with plenty of chorus singing and audience interaction with their legions of fans, friends and music lovers across Australia, New Zealand and the UK," Mr Worrall said.
"Led by Ian 'The Pump' Macintosh on melodeon, Traditional Graffiti is offering the theme of Frost and Fire.
"They perform material that is inspired by the traditional, ritual and social aspects of those winter months - sometimes dark, sometimes magical, always fun and informative.
"The music of Traditional Graffiti is still based around a core of UK roots music but the focus has evolved to embrace a more eclectic range of cultural influences, as well as a repertoire of irresistible original songs and tunes," Mr Worrall said.
Tickets are available at $25 each through the Troubadour website www.troubadour.org.au and at https://www.trybooking.com/CHCZM.
