Holly Parker recognised in Parliament
Under-16 Umina archer Holly Parker has received recognition in State Parliament.
In a "community recognition statement, Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch told Parliament: "Holly represented Australia in two international archery events during the recent school holidays.
"Having already represented NSW as part of the state team, Holly has won countless medals, including coming first at the outdoor target and indoor target national championships.
"She has also been named the best all round under-16 Compound Bow Archer by the Archery Society of NSW.
"Across April, Holly competed in the youth-only Trans-Tasman tournament against New Zealand before moving on to the World Archery Oceania Championships.
"At the Championships, Holly competed two age groups above her own against other Oceania nations including New Zealand, Fiji, Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea.
"Against tough opposition and in chilly, wet conditions, Holly brought back three silver medals and three bronze medals.
"Holly's focus is now on the 2025 Youth World Archery Championships in Winnipeg, Canada.
"I wish Holly all the best with her preparation and congratulations on your outstanding achievements so far."
