Application for gym to operate 24/7
An application has been made for a gym at 5 Carawa St, Umina, to operate 24 hours a day seven days a week.
Central Coast Council received the request as Amendment D to DA57085/2019, for the First Class Fitness gym at Club Umina.
The application by planning consultants Clarke Dowdle and Associates states: "This application seeks to change the operating hours from 5am to 9pm Monday to Sunday to 24 hours per day, seven days per week."
The application further states that "testing has indicated that the change of operating hours is unlikely to result in a perceptible increase in existing levels of road traffic noise and predicted noise levels at residential receivers at typical setbacks from Melbourne Ave will achieve regulatory requirements".
This application is currently on public exhibition on the Central Coast Council website and is open for written submissions until May 26.
