Good day for Umina men's pennant teams

Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club had "another good day" in Open Pennant team competition for Round 8 played on Saturday, April15, according to club secretary Mr Peter Springett.

The Grade 3 team defeated Bateau Bay Stingrays 59-50 at Bateau Bay, winning nine points to one.

"The great news is that second-placed Terrigal went down 8-2 to Ourimbah and third-placed Wyong went down 8-2 to Ettalong," said Mr Springett.

The Grade 5 team defeated Mooney Mooney Mud Crabs 68-38, winning all 10 points.

The Grade 6 team defeated Mingara 65-45 shots at home, winning nine points to one.

The Grade 7 was defeated by Everglades 44-65 at home, winning one point to nine.

The washed-out Round 7 was played yesterday, Sunday, April 16.

The Grade 3 team was defeated by Ettalong 52-64 shots at home, winning one point to nine.

"This was our first loss of the 2023 Open Pennants Season," said Mr Springett.

The Grade 5 team lost to The Entrance 52-58 at home, taking half a point to The Entrance 9.5.
