Library assistant praised for productivity and positivity
Brisbane Water Secondary College has praised its Woy Woy campus library assistant Ms Kathryn Jewkes as "a true master of productivity", having "an incredibly positive attitude that is contagious".
Her contribution and interests have been recognised in a social media post.
"Kathryn grew up on the Peninsula and went to school at St John the Baptist for primary and Umina High School for secondary, before we became a college," said college principal Ms Rebecca Cooper.
"After school, she worked as a legal secretary for various major law firms in Sydney for almost 20 years."
She was described as a proud mother of two daughters, partner to a police officer and an owner of a kelpie-cross dog named Minnie.
"Her educational journey recommenced after spending three years out west, working in schools before starting her current job at our campus three years ago.
"Kathryn used to be quite the athlete.
"She became a triathlon athlete and marathon runner in her 40s and recently bought a mountain bike to pursue an exciting new hobby.
"When she's not out and about, Kathryn enjoys a pastime of photography and sells her photos to a stock agency.
"She's also an avid reader.
"Kathryn is a true master of productivity, always finding ways to get things done quickly and effectively and is always willing to lend a hand and offer her skills and expertise whenever any student or staff member needs it.
"Kathryn has an incredibly positive attitude that is contagious, and it's hard not to feel happy when you're around her."
