Tribute to Ken Dixon in State Parliament

Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch has paid tribute to Mr Ken Dixon in State Parliament in a Community Recognition Statement.

Mr Dixon, a former Ettalong Bowling Club director, died on May 25.

"Ken was a great soul who did so much for our community," she said.

"His passing is a great loss for our community and beyond.

"I had the honour of knowing Ken.

"I will never forget his energy for anything and everything related to lifting others up.

"His passion for-the betterment of future generations was infectious.

"He worked hard for different community organisations and supported countless .fundraising events, including Central Coast Kids in Need and the Stewart House Children's Charity.

"He also raised significant sums for those in need.

"Being the remarkable person he was, Ken was involved in Dicko's Dogs Wednesday morning bowls at Ettalong that attracted over 100 bowlers every Wednesday.

"I give a special shout out to Ken's lovely wife, Ann, who always played a supporting role throughout his life.

"I am certain that Ken's stories will continue to live on and inspire our future generations."

Fellow club director Mr Kerry Watkins commented: "Ken's untiring fundraising efforts have certainly made a huge impact on many charities, youth and less fortunate people on the Coast.

"Ken's family and friends have thanked Liesl for her kind words and recognition of his work."
