Students learn about organisms and cells
Science students at Umina campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College have been learning about unicellular and multicellular organisms and specialised cells.
They have been practicing their microscopy skills by looking at prepared specimens and microscopes slides, as well as collecting their own specimens to prepare and observe.
Others have been learning about chemical reactions and the signs to look for when they occur.
Practical experiments have been conducted with the classes so they can observe first hand changes in temperature and colour, production of gas and light, and the formation of a precipitate.
