Driest June follows wettest May

The Peninsula has had its driest June in 20 years, with just 10mm rainfall recorded for the month.

This follows the wettest May in 20 years, with a total of 360mm.

The average June rainfall is 144mm.

This June has been the driest month since December 2019, when just 3mm was recorded.

Despite this, the total rainfall so far this year is greater than average.

The cumulative rainfall total this year is 927.4mm, 11.5 per cent above the half year average of 832mm.
