Kim Cole is top fundraiser for Cancer Council event

Ettalong entrant in the NSW Cancer Council's Stars of the Central Coast, Ms Kim Cole, has raised $42,000 of a total of $210,000 raised by the dancing event held at the Laycock St Theatre, Wyoming on Friday, June 13.

Ms Cole was one of 10 entrants and raised almost twice the amount of the next nearest competitor.

Of the money raised in Kim's campaign, $10,700 came from the Big Morning Tea held by the Rotary Club of Brisbane Water in May at Ettalong Diggers, where Ms Cole works as tourism and community manager.

Other donations came from Diggers, local businesses, as well as Ms Cole's family and friends.

Ms Cole said the dance training was hard, but the whole experience worthwhile.

She dedicated her fundraising and dancing efforts to her mother Helen who she lost to breast cancer 15 years ago.
