Dr Swain leads his final Anzac service

The Reverend Dr Peter Swain has led his final Anzac service at Peninsula Village.

Dr Swain was a part-time chaplain in the Australian Army Reserve for 20 years, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel and was awarded a Reserve force decoration.

"We are incredibly grateful for Peter's 10 years of dedicated service leading these important ceremonies," said Peninsula Villages chief executive Mr Colin Osborne.

He said a "touching farewell" was given to Dr Swain.

He said Anzac Day was commemorated with moving services at all three of the organisation's homes.

"Residents proudly wore their own medals or those of loved ones, participating in presentations and laying wreaths.

"Staff joined in honouring Australians and New Zealanders lost in conflict, and those who have served and continue to serve."
