Umina pennant teams wins all rinks in all games
Every Umina Beach Men's Bowling Club team won its game in round 10 of Open Pennants played on Saturday, May 4.
"What a sensational last round for the Umina Beach Open Pennants teams," said club secretary Mr Peter Springett.
He said the club won every rink.
In Second grade, Umina Beach 66 (10 points) defeated Munmorah 38 (0 points) to finish the competition in fifth place.
"There were good wins by Mark Hogden's and Greg Shirley's rinks and a big win by Tony Potter's rink," said Mr Springett.
In Fifth grade, Umina Beach 65 (10 points) defeated Munmorah 44 (0 points).
Mr Springett said it was a great win by the Fifths, who had won their section by half a point and will play against Terrigal for the flag.
Sixth grade had a bye today and finished third in its competition.
Umina's seventh grade blue team scored 73 (10 points) to defeat Munmorah 55 (0 points) and finish third.
"There were good wins by Ted Gentle's and Wally Pawelko's rinks and a big win by Brian Butterworth's rink," said Mr Springett.
Seventh grade red had a bye and finished fifth.
