Tropical beach party without thongs or bikinis

A "tropical beach party" student disco will be held at Umina Beach Public School tomorrow, Tuesday, March 8, without thongs, bare torsos or bikinis.

However, students are being encouraged to dress up in Hawaiian shirts, leis, "beach vibes", bright colours and scuba gear.

A session for Years K-2 will be held from 5pm-6.15pm.

A session for Years 3-6 will be held from 6:30pm to 8pm.

The school's Easter raffle will be drawn at the disco, with the winner "bringing home an epic boxes of chocolate eggs".

Tickets for the "drop-and-go event" cost $8, which includes snack, drink and gift.

Entry on the evening will be via the main office gates, while exit will be via the school hall gates.
