Brigades hold joint training exercise

Pearl Beach Fire Brigade conducted a joint training exercise with the Patonga Volunteer Rural Bush Fire Brigade on the Warrah Trig track on Saturday, March 22.

"It's wonderful to have the opportunity to be able to share training and build familiarity with our neighbours from the brigade over the hill," said Pearl Beach captain Mr Lindsay Boyd.

"We are always happy to have a chance to build our technical skills and knowledge with equipment drills and local area awareness, as well as get our hands on hoses and boots on the ground."

Among those participating were three trainees from the Patonga brigade.

The exercise included "live reels", providing back up water by supplying water truck-to-truck and going through a scenario in the bush followed by a debrief.
