Brigade balances volunteering with busy lives

The Bays Rural Fire Brigade is inviting local residents to balance of a busy life with volunteering.

"Life is busy but, at The Bays Rural Fire Brigade, we make it work," said brigade captain Mr Stephen O'Donohue.

"Many of our volunteers have full-time jobs.

"They train in their spare time and respond when they can.

"You give what you can when you can.

"Volunteering is a family-friendly commitment.

"Kids love seeing their parents help the community, and partners are proud supporters.

"Whether it's weekends, evenings, or helping behind the scenes, every bit makes a difference.

"At the end of the day, it's all about teamwork, support, and community.

"We understand that life can be busy, and we'll help you find the right balance.

"Whether you're keen to be on the frontline as a firefighter or assist with brigade support, there's a role for you.

"Visit the station on Saturday mornings to find out more."
