Lions appoint new first grade coach
Woy Woy Lions Rugby Union Club has appointed Wais Qalulu as its first grade coach for 2021.
"Wais was born in Fiji and moved to Australia 27 years ago," said club treasurer Mr Luke Meany.
"He coached throughout Sydney from 2017 and is currently coaching the Australian Pacific Select 7s and helping the Australian 7s Team to select their squad for the Japan Olympics 2021.
"He played in the Shute Shield for over 15 years."
Wais said: "I'm very excited for what 2021 at Woy Woy Lions Rugby Club has in store for all of us as a club and community as a whole."
Pre-season training is held on Thursdays at 6:15 at Woy Woy campus of Brisbane Water Secondary College.
