Local Members welcome filming at Umina Beach
Both State and Federal Local Members have welcomed the filming of a new television series at Umina on February 27.
"Netflix is coming with star actress Toni Collette and hundreds of others filming 'Pieces of Her', an eight-part American thriller drama, at Umina," said State Labor Member for Gosford Ms Liesl Tesch.
"Let's welcome the stars and film crew to our home.
"Hopefully this will be the first of many Netflix series filmed on our beaches."
Federal Liberal Member for Robertson Ms Lucy Wicks said the Netflix series was supported by the Federal Government's Location Incentive Program.
"The series has been supported under the Australian Government's $400 million boost to the Location Incentive Program to create a pipeline of international projects during the recovery from Covid-19.
"Australia's world-class production sector is renowned for being hardworking and these productions will support hundreds of jobs - from carpenters, lighting technicians and set designers to actors, crews and special effects teams," she said.
