Christmas spirit
Members of Umina Beach Surf Life Saving Club brought smiles to the children of Umina Child Care Centre by making a Christmas visit on December 6.
Children were treated to a visit from Santa Claus while members of the local surf life saving club handed out treats and helped promote the surf safety message of swimming between the flags.
Umina Child Care also used the opportunity to collect food items to donate to the local charity, Mary Mac's Place
"It has been wonderful to spread the Christmas cheer around," Umina Child Care Centre acting director Ms Rebecca Brightwell said.
"The children loved having Santa here and the rookies helped to reinforce the importance of surf safety for our families.
"The children are really into the spirit of giving.
"Helping Mary Mac's Place through our food donations is a way to engage children in the community from a young age."
