St John's farewells two staff

Students and teachers from St John the Baptist Primary School, Woy Woy, farewelled two of its staff on the final day of the school year on December 19.

Ms Jeneen Summerhayes retired from teaching after 21 years of service at St John the Baptist, Woy Woy, and Ms Jeanette Fowles will be transferring to Holy Cross Catholic Primary School, Kincumber.

School P&F publicity officer Ms Stacey Saul said both ladies were an inspiration to the school community and wished them the best of luck in their future plans.

"Jeneen began her time at St Johns' in 1988 and has seen many changes over this period," Ms Saul said.

"She has been a valuable contributor to school life and has dedicated her career to develop all children to see the wonder and awe of God and to value school education as a worthwhile investment for a good life.

"Jeanette Fowles has been successful in being appointed the assistant principal position at our neighbouring catholic school Holy Cross, Kincumber.

"This is fantastic news for Jeanette and the Kincumber learning community.

"She has been a vital staff member who has been dedicated to the children placed in her care."
