Pool plan 'can't be dropped'

Cr Debra Wales and Cr Chris Holstein have both rejected any idea that plans for the Leisure Centre could be scrapped when a new council is elected.

"I don't think it could disappear with a new council.

"Senior staff, the director and general manager would look after it," Cr Wales said.

"It's too far down the track for that."

Cr Holstein said there was no way a new council would drop the plans.
