Two students named for Excelsior science awards
Brisbane Water Secondary College has named two Woy Woy campus students for Excelsior science awards.
Alana Griffith was recognised as "exceptionally hardworking" in biology, chemistry, and Science Extension, who "consistently goes above and beyond in her academic pursuits".
"Her relentless dedication to understanding complex scientific concepts is truly admirable, and she tackles every challenge with unwavering determination," said campus principal Ms Rebecca Cooper.
"Alana not only excels in her coursework but also demonstrates a genuine passion for learning through her active participation in experiments and research projects."
Olivia Petersen was honoured "for her exceptional assessment work in term one of Year 12, spanning the disciplines of chemistry, physics and Investigating Science".
"Her dedication to academic excellence and meticulous attention to detail have set a new standard for assessment performance, showcasing her outstanding analytical skills and deep understanding of complex scientific concepts.
"This has earnt her well-deserved recognition as a leader in the field of science education.
"Both girls achievements exemplify the spirit of innovation and excellence, inspiring their peers and the next generation of female scientists."
